New Shoes......
I've finally got the ball joints done on my 2000 F250 superduty, and read a article on cleaning out the autohubs...
fuzzles 4x4 autohub
seems rather simple, so tried to work on it,, BOTH sides the auto/manual section was frozen in auto... I got the first clip off but could never pull it out of the hub as directed.. I didn't want to force it as the plastic in there... cleaned with eletronic cleaner spray but still could not get either to budge.. I sprayed silicone spray in it and outside and got the right side hub to now move to manual I added some grease to the insides and put the clip back on and cleaned up the o ring and put it back on.. ( also replaced the faulty vacumn line as well) I replaced all the seals needed with the ball joints including the yellow one on the hub..
The drivers side was worse, it is still froze in auto, and cannot move it to manual
the quesiton is, is there a trick or "tool" to remove the inside of the autohubs to really clean them out? I dont want to move to manual as many times we need it for a short run as we live on a gravel road, and then payment, and would hate to have to get in and out to go to manual
thanks in advance for your help
