Classifieds Cleanup

The Ford Truck Fanatics Classifieds section is a great place to buy or sell parts equipment etc...

It falls under my responsibility to moderate it. In an effort to make it a useful tool for new and old users alike I am going to do some clean-up on it.

PER the guidelines posted up by Scott. Any posts more then 60 days old will be deleted.

Any post STARTED prior to August 01, 2008 will be deleted. if you still have the parts OR are still looking for parts feel free to re-post.

Just a question. Wouldn't that be better to have any that have not been posted to in the last 60 days gone?

Not that is matters to me. I have never started a thread in there.

Well Brian to tell you the truth that is what I did. Looked at the "last post" date and went off that. There were only a few that fell into the catagory that were posted in after the date listed.

That being said, if the OP has not bought or sold the item in question in 60 days I doubt it is gonna happen.

No kidding. By that time...it has been read and read. I was just asking.

That was part of my job on an old ranger board. In fact two of them in years past. It worked well to drop them old adds after a certain amount of time had past.

Yeah I might talk to Ryan and see if VB has a pruning feature where it will do it automatically after a few weeks

It might, BUT......use caution doing it by date.

If you have a sticky in the area...kiss it goodbye when the software does the deleting. Fortunately, we had it go to a recycle bin and were able to find it. We turned off that feature after that and did it manually once a month.

With a site this size..it should not take long. The first site I did it on had around 20,000 members at the time.

Everything not posted on in the classifides since 9-15 has been deleted.

As always, if you have not sold what your trying to sell feel free to re-list it.
