Charcoal Canister

Hello and good afternoon.

87 F150 5.0L E4OD 2WD XLT LARIAT STANDARD CAB

The Charcoal Canister next to the battery has a 1" hole in the top where I can see the Charcoal.

How does this effect my engine?

Eventually, I am removing the Air Pump and all of the associated plumbing but not until I have finished my current modification.

All suggestions welcome.

Mine have all been removed, should be fine until you remove it all later.

Well this is a relief. Did you remove vacuum lines and which must remain?

I took it all out, but you will prob get a ck engine light. You may be able to leave some valves and solenoids and keep the light off.
