It seems to be running rich...but it doesnt act up all the time, seems to only do it on a hot start (half to hold it half throttle and it will chug and blow a big cloud of black smoke, and then run fine), or sometimes when i pull the camper it does it when i come off of a steady cruise to make a turn, (it usually doesnt stall, but acts like its loaded up), or after pulling a hill.

I guess whats stumping me is the fact that it only does it sometimes??? If im just running around empty it seems to be fine.....Im planning on rebuilding the carb but im not gonna mess with it if you dont think it would help....comeone dentheads help me out! Thanks yall!

Do you have the original electric choke hooked up? Maybe you just need to adjust it. There's a round black plastic housing on the passenger's side of the carb with notches in it to mark adjustment. If I recall, there are three screws you need to loosen to turn it.

I can't remember right now which direction is richer and which is leaner. Just mark where it is to start with a crayon or something so you have that as a reference, or can put it back if needed.
