Camshaft & such...

Okay, I've decided that I want my truck to sound like a popcorn maker. I'm not looking for giant gains in performance, I'm very unlikely to have the truck longer than then end of next year, and I can barely muster up the courage to replace the spark plugs.

What parts do I need for a successful mild cam swap?

Could totally swear I posted in 8-9...

Chris - focus on the popcorn.

Don't do it. Changing the cam for the sound is not one of your better ideas. Leave this otherwise reasonable truck alone :p

And I don't care what anyone says... Can't beat the fun of jiffy pop.

I dont advise it Austin..more hassle than what its worth just for the sound..that is not what its about in short...

You choose a cam around literally every other part you want to use in an engine build. Using stock components, there's no reason you should do anything more than a mild camshaft, which may barely even have a sound difference.

You're asking for a radical sounding cam... yet a mild cam. No such thing.
