calling Texasnomad... Holley blue pump noise?

i have an summit pump.. (same as an holley blue but cheaper but DAMN this thing is noisy it was cool at first but now getting on my nerves.. can you tellme if yours the holley blue sounds like this ??

listen to the first seconds of the vid this was an open headers start up but i have mild quite mufflers soo i can hear it constantly


these mufflers... you can hear the pump reall good here.. dnot worry about the smoke its fixed now.. it was the valve seals!

Perfect timing Jurgen. I talked to Tex today about the noise. That's the sound of a performance rotary vein pump. They all sound like that. I have a carter on my truck, and I've had Holleys in the past. Nature of the beast.

I can see how that would be cool and annoying at the same time.

One thing though, it should quiet down a little once it primes up pressure, if the pump is mounted low enough. The pump should be mounted lower than your fuel level.

yeah its louder when its not primed.. but in the future im gonna make a sump for the tank and use it becuase now its pulling from the tank and yeah its lower than the fuel level... guess i just have to live with it
