brake and rear signal lights out same time

its not the bulbs just no power.happened at the same time. front signals still work. rear tail lights still work. oh and the top bake brake light doesn't either. what could be the common denominator where to look.

I would start with fuses, then let the techs chime in. I know there is a fuse for the trailer towing stuff and you may check the ABS fuse.

Check the brake light switch as well.

wasn't the brake switch, the problem I found with the fuses was in the PDB under the hood. Fuse 1 and 3 wern't working, trailer left/right stop/brake. I jumped it right of the battery, and each of the lights came on. After talking to my bro he said the only thing in that path is the turn signal switch so he is sending me one by monday. I'll let you know. Thanks for the replys

My 01's doin the same thing. Pass rear tail has no stop lt. or turn sig but all the other work fine.
I also just replaced the multifunction switch above steering column because that's what everyone said it was...it didn't fix it.
Wondering if you found out anything?!
