Talking to a friend last night; he's got that new-car itch.

Ran his F-350 through the above-listed sources to get a sense what it's worth; KBB came out close to $5k lower than the other two.

If I'm remembering right, it's NADA that dealers tend to use, correct?

(Obviously, book value isn't necessarily the same as what you'll get...but it's a good starting point to decide how the numbers crunch out. And $5k is a lot of money in most normal car deals.)

from what i understand they kinda go with a happy medium of the two... when selling...

but when buying or a trade-in.. they use whatever is lowest....

^ yep, unless its a clean, low mile, truck book value might come into play. I've seen some uber clean rigs go to auction when I was working at the dealership.

The dealer up town gave my buddy 2800 for a 94 F150 with 275,000 miles...
