Bad Fuel Pump\pumps???

97 460 truck shuts off. if i bang on fuel tanks i hear pump turn on. Could this be an electrical problem or could both fuel pumps be bad? thanks for looking

Either/or.....loose connection at the pump/s, or pumps locking up.

Nope. Relay is up front. Wouldn't matter if you beat on the tank.

Is there a common ground wire or hot wire between the two pumps possibly?
