Nothing I do will make this dura spark work so I am going to go another way does any one use the "ready to run" coil and distributor kits. They should be a 1 or 2 wire hook up and I can get rid of what I cannot seem to make work.
There are several on e-bay for about 125.00 and are probably a single wire from switch to activate and a person with limited mental abilities like myself can probably handle 1 wire.

Just an FYI,on my 79 F250 I removed the duraspark II and went with an HEI Distributor,which is a one wire hookup.I used the key on/start wire that fed the duraspark box ran it to the battery terminal side of the Distributor cap(the coil is inside the top of the cap).very simple to do and eliminates the box on the fender,the duraspark coil and all the duraspark wiring as well.
