Get your machine work done first, that way you know what size berrings and pistions you need.. Then worry about the kit..

Overall, it doesn't look bad. Federal Mogul is a good mfg. I don't care for the sealed power gaskets, but that's jmo.

Jmo, but I'd get at least hypereutectic pistons if not forged.. Build it once and and be done w/ it so you don't have to do it again, when you get the urge for more power...,

These kits are okay, but not intended for anything more than a stock rebuild. Lose the cork gaskets, and go for a hypereutectic piston over the cast garbage.

I would not suggest a forged piston for your application. You will not get nearly the life out of a forged piece as you would get out of a hypereutectic piston for street use.

But forged is more forgiving when it comes to nitrous or boost...

My bias opinion as a machine shop...

Check with your local machine shop first, you may be surprised what they can sell it to you for.

i wish. but i aint got a ton of money to spend on this. this is truly a budget performance build.

He can supply parts at a damn good price, not to mention his knowledge with these engines...he can get any parts.
