Anybody prettied up the back of the cab interior?

I am redoing the interior in my 78 F250 regular cab. Part of the job is installing a set of aftermarket buckets with a fold down center armrest. The old bench hid the lower panel in the back of the cab, but the new seat leaves it exposed. I don't like the look because A: It looks unfinished and B: It is only a single thickness of steel so it is noisy. I was thinking carpet and dynamat, but with no trim that wouldn't look finished either. Anybody got any suggestions?

What would you normally keep behind the seats ?

If just few things, why not build a utility box with a set of speakers all covered by a plush type carpet.

I went with carpet and Dynamat but kept the bench seat.
Folded the top edge of the carpet over a long strip of steel (and screwed
the whole works to the double walled part just below the window?).

Yeah, that single wall is noisy and is only going to get just so quiet.
My modification was mostly about noise.

Dynamat and speakers is the route I'd go. But I keep a gas tank behind my seat, so what do I know.

Me too. But if you split the vinyl on the seat back and pad it it make a handy place for a hide away 12 Ga.

Ehhh...I find letting it hang in the rear window is more of a deterrent. I don't wanna have to fiddle with all messy legal red tape.smilieFordlogo

Get rid of that in cab tank and set some subs back there. In the future (not too soon), I want to build a box with some 10" subs on each end and in the middle have some space to keep jumpers and my fire extinguisher.

Some type of storage thing with speakers would be what I would do.
