another way to take it off?

i was wondering if there is any other way to take off a steering wheel to put on an aftermakter wheel beside's using a steering wheel puller? because i just found out that my screws where u place the puller is stripped and broken off so there aint no way. ???? 92 f150

You can try to just grab and pull hard and rock it back and forth. That has worked for me in the past.

Get your knees under it and push up as hard s you can.
Then have a buddy tap the down on the shaft with a hammer, preferably using something so not to bugger the threads.
Watch out you dont break your face when it comes off

Use a big Rubber mallet and keep hitting it from behind until it pops up. Make sure you don't take the big bolt all the way off. It will take a quite a few wacks.

im tall so i put my feet on the floor and tug from the top and tug from the botttom and wiggle side to side and then BAMM right in the f-ing nose

That is the reason you leave the big bolt on near the top.

Done this a few times...or you could just do it the right way, grab a tap and go to town. Local harware store should have the size tap you need and a handle for under $8.

I was pissed at the time,,, then i was really mad..
I had just got a air bag in the face...i forgot about capictors holding charge...

I would drill out the holes and tap them to the next larger size then use a puller.
