another 6.0 challenge

this 6.0 starts good runs good
no codes no funny stuff on the IDS

BUT WHEN IT GETs TO OPERATING TEMP!

the thing goes crazy! starts reving and missfiring like its trying to talk to us!!
and still no codes then and i cant see anything funny on the IDS!

its a 2005 6.0 BTW

I recomend checking the icp sensor, I have had some like that, found replacing the icp sensor and pigtail helps. Also look for any wire chafes on the engine.

Ok got code po336-30 pcm

Bad crank position sensor??

Icp volt dangles from 0.88 to 0.92v at idle. and pressure is 580 psi at idle

Yes idling warm. Starts good 800+

We are gonna change the icp sensor tommorow and see how she responds. Its smoking black and idles vary allot.

Fark!! We are stranded on the side of the road. And its got only 150 psi to start!! Bad hpop I suspect. Won't start for nothing

Ok ids shows when trottling. 1000 psi then falls flat to 200. What cuases a bad high pressure pump to flactuate like that???

Ok thanks. Yes we had to let it sit for 5 min then it started back up. Gonna change the sensor

we changed the icp sensor its the same..

what else could it be??? its throwing icp codes and chek engine is on.. the icp pressure was good at idle but after it started to warm up its started doing it the icp pressure isike this

its varies allot when its warm we give it throttle and the icp goes up like to 1000-800 and falls to 300-200 but for only a moment and the engine falls with it

the ford dealer wont take it anymore (good one heh ? ) we are this truck last hope .

we are gonna chek another FICM today and after that we are going straight to the HPOP to chek for leaks..

If the ICP goes with engine speed, it will be a high pressure oil problem. Next step would be air testing to pinpoint the leak.

Ok hear this. We cheked the ipr and we put heat protectant fiber around it and isolate it good from the hot turbo and well we ran all day with it and till now. No problem its running good. Letsee monday we are gonna take it a longer test. What do u guys think?? A hot ipr could be our problem?? Or an ipr going bad???
