Just got back from the Diesel truck pulls a little while ago at the Fair, had a pretty good time.

Mostly dodges, but there was a couple GMC's/Chevy's and Fords, Even one Ford F-250 with a Cummins motor in it! smiliegitrdone Don't have any pics of it though sadly..

They ran three different classes

2WD and 4WD = Street trucks, lightly modified (Exhaust, chips, wheels/tires, etc)

OUTLAW = Pretty much all out pullin' trucks. (Don't have any pics of these, Cause we was talking to some family, and didnt think to take any :headbang: lol)

Here's some pics..

2WD class (2 trucks and the white Ford crewcab just doing an pull cause he could)

what's the white smoke outta that 2wd ford????And damn that black dodge dually looks goofy...I like th smell of slippin clutch too man.

I dunno, I was trying to figure that out myself. He pulled twice, and both times about half track it white smoke just rolled out of the bed of it. It didn't smell like a trans though, and he drove it home as far as I know..

I'm not sure about the Dodge the stacks are REALLY dang tall, and I kinda like it but then again I don't. :suspicious:

Not many people appreciate the smell of clutches! :D

BTW, for people who have never smelled them, they sorta smell like brakes, and if you didn't know differant (or see the cloud of white smoke rollin' out from under the truck smilietease) you would probably just think sombody's brakes where hot, IMO

Is it like driving for ten minutes at 55MPH, smell something funny, and realize you left the parking brake on? I did that one a few months ago. :rofl2:

Yup, that's sorta close..

Your trucks a 5speed aint it? Wanna know what it smells like, just slip the clutch and pull out in 4th gear... smilietease

And 55? that the speed limit? it's mostly 65 and 75 here, 'cept in Knoxville, some of it's 55... infact, mom was mad cause I was doing 62 in a 55 the other day. :rofl2:

yea pretty close.....

The worst part is goin, "what the hell smells so damn bad, whats burnin?"...

And then you're like "ah ****..." and pull the brake release... :headbang:

It's pretty easy to tell the smell, and loss of power if the brakes on pretty tight, IMO atleast.

I aint toastin' my clutch on purpose. :p :rofl2:

Since its a 300 the torque is way low in the RPM range, and the PB doesnt do real well holding the truck.

Dang... well, it would have made a funny video atleast. smilietease

You don't notice it when you let out on the gas? I notice it in moms Lumina almost everytime.

I wasnt in town. I left the gas station in Madison CA (a town of about 300 people) and headed out on a county road going 55MPH with cruise on. I never let off.

I just realized how blurry a lot of these pics are.. :headbang:

our camera seems to do alright close range, but you get out a little ways where the flash can't reach something, and they come out blurry unless the camera is held EXTREMELY still.. and that's hard to do without a tripod :(
