All American car show in Oamaru

Joy and the kids went with me down to the All American car show in Oamaru yesterday and i unfortunately left my camera behind in all the rush to get out the door so i took some pics with the cellphone and though i'd share.
It was supposed to be an all American show but some Brits and Aussies sneaked in the back door.

That Mustang was a real beaut Ben ..... i did have a soft spot for the 70 fastback though . I think i'll have to send some emails back to those somali dudes that have rich uncles and kidnapped bank officials who want to use my bank account for funds transfer ..... i'll tell them someone kidnapped my XB and see if they fall for it

Thanks for sharing Mark..I gotta agree with Ken..along with the bottom pic..ive never seen a ride like that...Looks to me like a cross between the 71-73 Mustang front with the slant roof line that the 70-71 Torino had..very interesting......I realy like it...

^^ That's an Aussie Ford XB Falcon coupe.... i just wish i'd taken my good camera rather than leaving it in my truck then i could have taken much better pics.

A Falcon?..lol Here they didnt do well and were fased out by 1971 intresting...Notice the similarities from the Torino.....

Nice pictures with a smattering of everything! Did you say at one time that if the vehicle is more than XX years old, it does not have to be converted to RHD?

Just a little History of the US Ford Falcon....Its pretty darn close to what i can recall of the model...My very first car was a 68 Falcon Futura Sport Coupe...289 with a C-4 and very basic option wise...

Yes they are really close and parts from rhd Aussie ones were used to convert early mustangs to rhd also the xa , xb , and xc falcon utes follow your ranchero pretty closely too.
Ford Australia kept their own engine production going and built cleveland 302 and 351 engines right through the 70s and into the 80s up until the emissions laws ruled them out - when you look at the F series trucks that were built in Australia they have a few differences between the USA models as well.
