89 F250

I sure can use some help???PLEASE.....
Have an 89 F250 Vin H 351 and wont run. Checked fire ...have it...
checked fuel nothing. took tank out, put pump in (midship) I now
can hear pump running. By the way this is 2 tanks,with a switching valve
on it. BUT put pump in and still NO fuel to engine.Checked high pressure \
pump on frame It didn't work. so replaced it now it's working..BUT still no run
can hear pumps running and its holding 40 psi. off & on. went to check
volume not much NOW remember this has that switching valve also,could it be that or the regulator???? I'm so damned confused now I hope the
thing blows up now.....
Oh it runs so-so off my MOTOVAC machine too.
I replaced fuel filter pancake filter in switching valve, high and low pressure
pumps....
Any help at all would be of great help..

40 psi is a tad low. Where did you check pressure at?

I took it at the switching valve,before it,actually, so it wasnt
taken after the high pressure pump.....Didn't think of that. I should check it there now..Is that what your'e thinkin? Im not there 2day but will be
there 2marrow and get back with you with pressures again.

I would check fuel psi at the engine. Make sure the tank has fuel. Is there pumps in the tank on this truck or just on the rail? If the pumps in the tank make sure it's not pumping fuel from on tank to the other if thats the case the check valve may be shot.
