buddy of mine just gave me a truck for 500$ since hes moving. said the only thing that needed to be done was a carburetor rebuild. so i go to take the carb off (stock holly 2 barrel) and on the last bolt holding it in place the bolt starts to twist with the nut as i turn it. Im not motor savvy, and im not sure what the piece of engine sitting under the carb is but thats where the bolt is coming from, and i cannot get to the head so i can hold it still and get the nut off. i can provide pictures if im not as clear as i should be,
please help!!.

most generally its a stud (which will eventually unscrew) unless you have an adapter plate under the carb.

I would remove the other 3 nuts then just keep unscrewing the 4th it should come out.
