70 f100 fleetside sb tires

Im doing a 70f100 for a friends father.
He wants american torque -aka old style wheels.
I want to fill the fenders but not scrub.
Any ideas on wheel/tire size for front and back from the peeps who have been there and done that.

2wd or 4x4?

on 4x4 I'd go with 8 or 10 in wide wheels with 33x12.5 tires


on a 2wd, you could get by with 8 in wheels and 31x10.50

I want to fill the wells in the rear.
in front im thinking 8" with 255 70 15

I'm running some 32/11.5 on the back of mine right now, they fill it up pretty nice. But they do make the 235/70 on the front look to small, need bigger to fill up the wheel well. All on 15" wheels, just some junky tires I had laying around. When I buy tires I think I'll step down to 31's for the back and go a little bigger in the front.

I agree that dropping to 31's on the back will suit better. To much rubber for a 2 wheel drive.
