7.3 hard start

Hey guys,
Having trouble getting my 2002 7.3 started in the morning, no matter what temperature. I have to cycle the glow plugs anywhere from 3 to 20 times to get it to fire. After the initial start in the morning, she starts on the first turn. Only 150,000 miles on the truck. I'm thinking glow plugs, but would appreciate any input from you guys. Thanks in advance for any help.

Mine has done the same thing to me. Two things with mine, my batteries are old and not holding enough voltage well. So to get by I've plugged it in when it's getting cool over night, and charged the batteries on trickle for a bit when it sits for more than a few days.

The other thing is I had fuel leaking into the pressure sensor. The low voltage issue can be babied for a while, the leaking sensor not so much. Mine is also a 2002 7.3, 6 speed, lightly modded.

Glow plugs, Glow plug relay, oil level in the reservoir, fuel pressure, are all things to check for a hard start.
