Well..

Honestly, Exhaust is pretty straight forward... For the most efficient system, remove muffler and cat.. Legal? Not really, but depends on location. Don't run a 4" Downpipe, not worth it on stock/slightly modified.

Engine tuners.. Stick with SCT and a reputable programmer who knows the ins and outs of the block. Chips won't help, they'll just cause problems down the road. Chips do nothing but adjust "readings" between the ECM and the Engine. Also remember Transmission is electronic, not an old school Valve body setup. If you install a chip, your doing absolutely nothing to the transmission. In that case eventually it's going to slip, tear and just flat out break. See plenty of them at the shop.

SCT devices is the #1 choice, it's the only choice I give my customers. When you modified the ECM to produce additional horsepower or tweaks in specific areas, the TCM (controls Transmission) needs to be brought on line with it. Could be simple as adjusting shift points at Standard/WOT input, increasing line pressures, adjusting TC lockup patterns, etc.

This doesn't mean the truck will be fine. A bad programmer or inexperienced one can cause damage with an SCT. You just have to find a reputable one :) Myself or few others dealers I deal with when I need some advice/input on certain things.

Gauges first (EGT, boost, trans temp), then ARP head studs, then get some innovative SCT tunes.... BTW... WTF is an FIL?!?! [confused]

Just remember if you mod it and it breaks, the dealer maynot fix it under warranty, depending on how your dealer is. Otherwise I say mod the hell out of it. If I owned one thats what I would do go all out, exhaust, chip, intake.

hmmmmm not sure what he wants but I know he wants something adjustable on the fly......got anythin?

I don't recommend nor carry any products that adjust on the fly.. Too many times it tears the TorqShift transmission up..
