5 cent throttle cable repair

It won't hurt nothin'...but it'll only help if your cable is, in fact, stretched out. I verified that well past 200k miles the throttle on my Ranger opens fully, so it's not a given that they stretch out enough to be an issue, over time.

*It'll give a placebo effect, too, though...the pedal will be higher off the floor, so it'll kinda "feel" more powerful.

lol. ok im gonna check mine. cause idk if the person who swapped the motors in my truck kept the original throttle cable which is very possible. and if he did then its got 302k on it.

Takes 10 min to change the cable, you go under dash, lift the brass stop up so it slides through the hole thats there. Then you go under the hood and there is 2 8mm or 10mm bolts where the cable comes out the dash, And you just pop it off the throttle body, and push the tabs in pull it out.

When you order the cable you have to give em production date.
