4x4 front drive shaft

Hey fellas I have a 1979 f250 4x4 with a c6 automatic and an np205 transfer case. I have found a fella nearby that has a front drive shaft for this truck except his is a standard transmission. Will his front drive shaft work in my truck? thanks

I don't think it will work...I believe the shaft he has will be nearly 3" too short.

I believe the auto d-shaft dimensions are:
3 7/8 x 27 1/4 x 3 7/8

and the manual d-shaft dimensions are:
3 7/8 x 24 3/8 x 3 7/8
