429 -> ZF 5 speed

will a 429 bolt up to a ZF five speed that has the 460 fuelie bellhousing pattern?

I'm really, really fuzzy on the details of this, but I remember once talking to a guy who was putting a ZF-5 in a late '70s Ford behind a 429.

Seems like he had to do something to make the pilot bearing work right, but I don't remember now quite what it was he did.

Yea, the 460 and the 429 share the same bell housing.
If you have a zf for a 460, then your good to go.
