Long story short, a few years ago I had to replace a broken pushrod. When I went to the auto parts store they couldn't find my truck spec in the correct year. Ive got a 1965 352. They had to look in 1964 to find the right gaskets.
...
I recently acquired an original 1965 Ford Trucks sales brochure and it lists the 352 as the top of the line engine. My truck appears to be the base model with the largest engine, and it only has 32,xxx miles on the clock. Is this rare at all? How can you explain the parts availability? Thanks
from the brochure:
240 six, 150hp@4000
300 big six, 170hp@3600
"new" 352 V-8 208hp@4400
if it's new, why do they have to look up '64?
