#1 DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT REMOVE BATTERY CABLES WHEN ITS RUNNING! Short reason, it puts un regulated power (110 volts) to all components made for 12 volts. An ignition system only needs 3 or 4 amps to operate, even a sick alternator can do that. Have you tested for drains? If a component stays energized with the key off, it can drain a battery. Even a new reman alternator can have a faulty regulator. Sad thing is, if the parts house tests it, they're not going to test for a parasitic power drain.
