3.0 Vacuum leak??? P171 and p174

Hey guys...my mom's 2001 Taurus with 3.0 is pulling a p171 and p174 codes. From some of the reading I've been doing, when those pop simultaneously it's a tell tale vacuum leak for upper and lower intake. Based on it progressively getting worse the last couple of months and erratic rpm drop and surges. Got to the point earlier this week that it'll just die.

1) Does this sound right.
2) Any other suggestions or thoughts?
3) Newbie alert...anyone have a step by step for intake removal??? Never done it on one of these before.

Look on the back passenger side. Theres a vacuum hose (pcv hose), its larger on one end than the other. Wish I had a dollar for every one of those I've replaced because of a vacuum leak.

Well now...that was stupid simple. Thanks for the help guys. The top intake gaskets were squished flat and the lower were worse than flat. Now it idles at a perfect 900ish and the CEL is gone.

FYI Vince...the old man replaced that line last year when the car was having vacuum issues...to pass inspection.

I actually just started tearing in to it...but when I couldn't remember where everything went...then I cracked it open...haha.
