I'm talkin about the 208 transfer case in my '87 Suburban.
Hubs locked, t/c in 4HI let's say I'm pulling out of an unplowed parking lot or some such. According to the sticker on the sun visor I'm s'posed to be able to pop it out if 4HI while it's moving.
So I pull onto the road and push the lever to 2HI.
It does not come out of 4wd.
You can still hear the front output ot the t/c making it's normal quiet whirring noise then a few miles down the road, CLUNK! it comes out of 4wd...
The only thing i can imagine is that because it came with auto hubs, now that it has manual hubs I'm supposed to stop, put 'er in neutral and then shift to 2Hi.
What do you guys think?![Confused [confused] [confused]](/old/forum/images/smilies/confused0082.gif)
