A good informative read can be found here: http://www.autoblog.com/2012/01/09/2013-ford-fusion-debuts-along-with-47-mpg-fusion-hybrid-100-mpg/

Hybrid:
Ford expects the car to achieve up to 47 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway. That not only bests the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and Toyota Camry Hybrid, but also gets dangerously close to Prius territory. Ford says that the Fusion Hybrid will be able to operate at speeds up to 62 mph without spinning the engine (think: highway coasting).

If I stick working for Ford, this will most likely be my first new auto purchase. Gonna be a nice ride.

It's a looker, for sure.

Pictures can be deceptive, but it looks big to me- bigger than the outgoing car, bigger than the Sonata.

That looks very nice, even comes in an AWD version. I wonder about the ride on the 50 or 40 series tires.

I've got a Ford Fleet guy standing in front of me right now. He sez everything's moved up a slot after the Crown Vic Vanished. The new Fusion will fit where the Taurus was in the lineup (the Taurus already headed upmarket). The Focus already fits into the spot where the Fusion used to be, and the Fiesta really is the new Focus.
