Is this anything like your edge you guys have over there?

They are going to drop the v8 but are going to introduce a 2.7 v6 tdi to the engine lineup alongside the 4.0 inline six.

That looks more like the equivalent of the Escape. But a friggin V8 in that thing would haul. The Edge is more of a midsize SUV/crossover.

Almost looks like a Freestyle, which I don't think they make anymore over here.

I just saw pictures of the new Escape and to me, that's what it looks like.

We get the Ford Escape out here both as new vehicles and as jap imports so i went and did some looking only to find out that Ford Australia based it on the BA Falcon range so it seems to be specific to aussie/nz markets - they did also make a turbo version of the six which apparently left the V8 for dead.
