What are the opinions of the certified tech guys regarding the extended diesel warranty?. My warranty is up this year and I'm being offered an additional 2 years on the diesel. There is 55k miles on the truck.

Have them lay it out word-for-word what is and what isn't covered, then start haggling price. Its like car insurance, might never use it, but would you drive without it? All you need is an engine to go bad, and its paid for. Set of injectors parts and labor would be $3000.

It's 3k....no haggling..that is the price. It gives me 2 more years or 60k miles.
It's a tough decision...
Edit...it is an extension of the existing engine warranty...same $100 deductible applies.

It is a lot, but with engine (10k, trans 5k, turbo 2k), you get the idea

Thats a tough choice, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry you also want to make sure that it's a Ford warrenty not some aftermarket company there selling, we have alot of trouble with aftermarket companys not covering stuff, they will tell us to disassemble for diag then decide not to pay so the cust gets stuck paying.

It is offered through Ford....not a private company. Upon further investigation, it looks like there are some different tiers of it...with/without $100 deductable....and if it is under a LTD company name...which ours was until we bought it from our company last year. I've got a few months to make a descision....I'm gonna do some more investigating.
