coolant leak around thermostat changed gasket 2 times and still leaks.could it be intake. I loose around 1 gallan in 2 month

Yep! You've got three choices, Intake, Housing, or O'ring.

Does it matter what side of the T-stat the gasket needs to be on? just in case it might be on the wrong side?
