Hello everyone, this is my first post, so hopefully I don't break any protocols, but here it goes. I have a 2001 F250 Super Duty with the Triton 5.4. It has been a good truck, has about 135,000 miles and does a lot of towing in the summer. I live in Alaska so it operates in some harsh winter weathers. I just had a tune up and all the coils changed a month ago.
My problem is it just started idling rough and it smells like a burnt match, even burns my nose. It is not a sulfur smell. I checked the battery for cracks and leaks, but the smell is not coming from there. I have never experienced this in any other vehicle, and am curious if anyone has any quick suggestions as to where to start.
