2001 Dodge Ram transmission problem..

a friend of mine has this 2001 dodge ram.. with about 80 K on the clock.. a well taken cared of truck..

now his tranny wont shift into 2nd... it will go into nuetral and revers.. but it wont go into 2nd... not even manually with the shifter... whats the problem here??

its a 5.9 magnum dunno wich tranny

any check engine light usually dodges go into a fali safe of 2nd gear and reverse as a limp home mode check electrical connections and vacuum lines to the tranny also speed controls its all electrical controls . also check a dodge forum im sure there is a common problem they would know of just dont stay on there site to long ure ford might catch an infection lol
