2000 f150 heater

I have a 2000 f150 the heater will not go from cold to hot and you can smell coolant in the cab can anyone help?

You've probably got a leaky heater core. While you're in there, you can check the operation of the blend and mode doors and the operation of all actuators.

Its very labor intensive. If you've never done it before,(the entire dash, steering column has to be dropped) it might be a good idea to take it somewhere.
