1999 f250 steering box

hey guys and gals im haveing a very hard time getting the pitman arm off my steering box and just seeing if i could get any advice, also was wondering if there were any other bolt/s or anything else i would have to take off around the top of the box. I just cant see up there any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You'll need a pitman arm puller for that. If you're not going to keep it, you can drill holes in a straight line on the backside of the arm (away from the "tie rod" portion of it), then use a chisel to put a crack in the arm. It should drop off. You need to remove the steering shaft, power steering lines, separate pitman arm from the linkage, and usually 3 bolts on the frame.
 
thanks for the help the only problem im having now is actually getting the pitman arm off the shaft on the box itself... i was seeing if there is a way to get it off without takeing the pitman arm off the linkage. but if not possible i guss i can take the pitman arm off the linkage first and then take it off the box once the box is out correct??

Yep! Its got to come loose from the linkage.
