1999 2.5 ranger wont run

So let me try an make this as short as I can

My 99 ranger 2.5 had bad plugs. so bad when I went to replace them they fell apart. bcus they feel apart I had to remoe the intake manifold to get them off the old plus.

I replaced the plugs an wire then put it all back together,
Now it wont run. It starts an runs for a second but hitting the gas doe nothing an after a few 20 seconds or so it just shuts off.

So I replaced the fuel filter thinking maybe when I released th pressure it got clogged. Tha didint work.

Now I'm stuuck. I'm not really very good at these things an I can not go to a shop till next pay day to have it fixed prob iis my job wont wait for me to go to work Lol.

Any tips on how I can trouble shoot this?
I'm a hard worker an will listen to any thing you guys tell me exactly how you tell me. Thank you VERY much for any help

Will it restart after it dies?

Did you have to take anything else off to take the intake manifold off?

What I have found is that my voltage regulator fuse is blowing an when it does the car wont run. does this truck have a voltage regulator that isnt part of the alternator? could replacing this part solve the issue/

plz forgive my poor spelling.

Sounds like your either pinched or have a bare wire that is shorting out the circuit. Trace each wire to see if the cover is damaged and if so repair the damaged area.

More or less every wire. Hard to tell what got damaged or nicked while removing and reinstalling intake. you may have pulled something loose while moving and tugging to get everything removed.

I just found a wire on the alternator the was not plugged in wile looking for a bare wire. It was one wire with a little clip that went into the front

I found a diagram online that says WOW its to the voltage regulator LOL. Its seems this was the reason behind everyting. I wont know for sure till the am when I can buy a fuse.
