1995 F150 5.8L Oil Specs

I have gotten a lot of mixed opinions about the oil specs for my truck and wanted to see what you guys think: I know the owners manual states 5w30 but I have been putting 10w30 in. My truck has 246k and I live in Southern Maryland with very hot and humid summers and snow in the winter. Does it make a big difference? Should I keep it at 10w30?

Run 5w30 year round. You'll see no difference at opperating temp.. But better start up flow is there with the 5w30 as it is more fluid than 10w30 at 40°C and below.

Heck, to tell you the truth, I use 5w20, the Motorcraft standard that you find in any store from WalMart to your favorite auto parts store.
