Truck was running fine then all of a sudden it started dropping R.P.Ms like it was running out of gas when i had just filled it up. My first thought was that is was the fuel filter getting clogged up so i changed that and it was running fine again. I drove it for a few hours and on my way home it did the same thing again dropped R.P.Ms and didnt react to me giving it gas untill it died again. It seems like if it sits for awhile it will run for 30-60 mins then die i need help i really dont want to take it in to the shop any suggestions???

Lets see a 300 inline. I had a 88 and a 89 that fuel rely on fenderwell was going bad . Shut door it would run hit bump or get warm shut off. Cheap place to start .Switch relay around and see.

Your pump could be getting tired ,Could got a big batch water with gas you got sits while and separates .

But for more technical ideas the guys here will give you lots of ideas .

Might just be plugging the filters up!!! Do you have dual tanks??? Try switching tanks!!!

Sounds like got a batch of crap . that on top of 20 +year old tanks . Will plug filter after filter.
