1976 F-100 Seat question

I ordered and received a seat cover kit to redo them and have run into a snag. Of course nothing on this thing goes smooth but for those of you with your original seat, my question is, on the lower portion, do you have a metal tab that sticks out on each side toward the back (it looks like a stop to me) and are your seatbelts ran through the seat or between the top and bottom portion?
Mine of course has these features but the cover I received does not have the seatbelt holes or holes/ slits that will allow me to install the cover completely. I'm just wondering if I have a stock OEM seat for this truck or they messed up when the made it. Thanks.

Some where around that year , seat belts were just starting to be installed. Some one else here might know more about that. You might check to see if a newer year model seat cover has the holes your looking for.

I'm with Mark - try another company. My wife and I ordered some covers for our other vehicles a while back and they had instructions to use scissors to cut holes for the belts. I sent them back. Crappy product that instructs you to cut it yourself, if you ask me.

My belts just come up through between the seat and back cushions, and that's a stock seat on a '79.

For our old bench seats, i don't think you can go wrong with the old fashioned Indian blanket style covers found at Wally World.

Well come to find out it they listed their seat covers wrong. I ordered the one they have listed for a 73-79 F-100 but they sent me one for a F-150. They being a1auto... I guess I was the first one to order it. It's a nice vinyl seat cover for $189 shipped, just wish it fit.

SMS auto fabrics probably carries your original upholstery if you are thinking about redoing it.

I didn't think there was a difference between F100 and F150 seats.

I haven't see an old F-150 seat close up closembut the F-100 has these tabs on the bottom portion that the top locks to. The top portion has the lever on the driver's side connected to a rod that extends to the passenger side which when pulled forward unlocks the top portion from the bottom portion and allows you to flip the top forward. I guess a pic would have been better...

There should be no difference in the seats, or entire body for that matter, from F 100 up through F 350.
