1970 f250 390 v8 sputters alot

Okag my 1970 just started this today it sputters while i drive i can hear it an then it feels like theres no power for a second an then it is normal for a few seconds an repeats. It also sputters at idel, any ideas what it could be?

weak fuel delivery.. either bad carb or bad fuel pump is what it sounds like to me..

I was thinkin it may be a bad fuel filter too. These still have manual fuel pumps i believe

Itll cut out then jump hard

Not just a filter.. But something ain't right.. Check what your fuel pressure just before the filter..

Sounds to me like spark. Might want to do a dizzy cap/plugs/wires/coil inspection.

Just replaced plugs wires are good points are good, gota be fuel ill have to wait til tomarrow to test pressure

If I just did all that , I'd backtrack and check everything I did to make sure nothing came loose
