1970 f-100 p/u

Hello ya"ll...........new here, this seems like a good place to start.
My 1970 f-100 is two wheel drive, 302, three on the tree, and I am having a real hard time getting into 1st, and reverse gear. I believe that I need to convert to 3 on the floor, and can't seem to find the kit anywhere. Seems that I found two, but they weren't complete, no linkage, etc. What's with that ? Anyway any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. You can e-mail me at.... , I am very mechanically inclined, thought not one, and wonder if I would be able to install myself. Welcome to the site Ed - if you're happy with keeping it "three on the tree" you could have a real good look at the linkages and replace all the worn / missing bushings as this is what normally goes wrong
