1970 302 four speed question

I want to get rid of 3 on tree and go 3 or 4 on floor.
Can i do it with linkage and do 3 on floor keeping my trans.
Or get a 4 speed from a mustang etc to bolt to my bell housing?

you want a four speed from a truck, NP435. The Mustang 4 speed is called a "toploader", built by Ford. Way back when, some guys used to by floor shifters for the 3 speed in early Broncos (same tranny you have) to get rid of the column shifter. The truck 4 speed is a 3 speed for highway driving (you don't use 1st, it's super low), but for off roading it's awesome. Bullet proof too.
