Saw this over on PBB. I was initially searching for the GY Hummer tires...and he sells them new for $100 a piece. Then I noticed the military trucks and other things. I thought everything was pretty well priced. I dunno about shipping or anything...but here's the link to the tires:

I have emailed him a few times, seems like an OK guy.

Do you know if he'll ship nation wide and/or what kind of shipping rates he may offer for tires? I have a local place that offers the same tires...but are usually no better than 75% for the same price.

it was about 9 months ago, i think he had shipping, but do not remember. He seemed pretty easy to work with and accommodating.

Hmm thanks for the link...I'd be interested to know about shipping if you ask Ben.

No problem. Just shot him an email asking if he was willing to ship to the east coast and if so if he had any idea what shipping quote on 5 tires would be to my zip code. I'll update when I get a reply.

which tires were you inquiring about ben? The 37"s?

I asked about the 36x12.5x16.5's...they're the same price as the 37's and I wouldn't think there would be too much difference in weight when it comes to shipping.

any reason for choosing between the two?
I currently have the 36"s and i do like them...
But have heard no comparison between the two...

Well the 36's are bias ply and the 37's are radials...so that's a biggie. Beyond that, I like the tread better on the 36's and feel they perform better (I've had both in the past), and I also don't mind bias characteristics when compared to radials.

I am looking at getting some new tires too...
Great timing on that link Ben. Thanks for the info too!

No problem...that's what I'm here for...haha. As far as getting new tires, they are a good tire, and when I was talking performance before, I meant offroad. The 37's, being radial, will obviously get double the miles and no flat spotting, and are waaaaaaay smoother on the street. I still haven't gotten a reply on shipping, but loooooooots of places have these tires, I've just never seen them new before. Considering they are new, they're still cheaper than the 75% (and worse) treads that I've seen...so it perked my interest...it's always nice to have an extra set of tires as back ups.
