03 Explorer Question

I have an 03 Explorer. It has over 111,000 miles on it. It has been acting a little weird lately. I think it might have some electrical problems. If I use the cruise control it changes the radio station and things like that. Today when I applied the brake the emergency brake light would come on. The emergency brake has not worked since I bought it so I don't ever use it but I thought maybe I had put it on by mistake. My brakes are not making any noise and they seem to be working fine. Could this be electrical or does it sound like I need new brakes?

That's some interesting stuff...

...has the truck ever had any electrical work done to it? Are the fuse boxes securely attached where they belong?

Just for kicks, I'd check the fluid level in the brake master cylinder...I think it stays lit constant when it's low, not just when you hit the brakes, but I can't remember for sure.

As to the cruise/radio- do you have steering wheel buttons for the radio?
