03 6.0 no throttle, at all

03 6.0 no throttle, did not have check engine light, installed new TPS, pedal assm. worked once, then nothing. Waited 3 miniutes, had throttle for 10 seconds, gone again. Called Ford, no recalls on this unit. Have check engine light now. I dont know what codes at this time.

I had one that the icp sensor was bad, no throttle. I unplugged it, and it would run (I drove it back).

We unplugged the EGR valve, started it up, no throttle, plugged it back in while at idle, shut the key off, restarted it works fine. Tips on cleaning the EGR or replace, quite a bit of carbon build up.

Still acting up, repeat the adove procedure, and works again???

Any smoke when you step on the pedal or just nothing at all? Try disconnecting the battery's for 5 min or so. Also check under the dash make sure the pedal wiring isn't chafed on the steering shaft. Any codes avail?

No smoke at all, it acts like the pedal is not hooked up. I am waiting for a code reader, I should have today a.m. I will post codes if they are there.

Two codes present. P2139, P2140. Pedal did not work, cleared codes, works fine. Do you need to clear the codes for the system to work correctly?

Let sit for 30 min. pedal inop again.

unplug the icp connector, and try again.

go to the pced for diagnostics on the app sensor. Both codes deal with app sensor correlation.

Double check for chaffed wires to the pedal...... Have seen this.

The truck went to a local dealer, they replaced the pedal assm again, thought the one I put on was bad, turns out the computer is burning up one of the resistors in the pedal. Getting a new computer. I really appreciate the help I am able to get on the site, with limited tools for diognostics, your info goes a long way.
