I need to replace my brakes and rotors on my truck. I've got a
2007 F250 Lariat 4x4 with the 6.0. I need some advice on what the best rotors and pads are for these trucks. Is there a certain brand kit or combo of rotor and pads that works best, or should i stick to OEM. Any and all advice is...
i had my batteries tested and both failed. installed two new batteries pulled the hrnesses off the gpcm and cleaned them and the light went off. havent had a problem till this weekend. I was on a long trip and my degas bottle puked coolant everywhere. Now the lights back on. could the coolant...
Now the engine light comes on for a few days then goes off. Also notice that when the light is on my batteries drain. Wonder if it's the module or bad wiring
I did test the alternator and it tested fine. I've gone through the week and the check engine light has come on and gone back off on several occasions. This makes me wonder if I've got some kind of wiring issue
I've gotten a code that said something like gpcm communication failure. The tech cleared it and said it might be bad wiring because the itself tested fine. Code came back and I was told not to worry about it unless it was hard to start in cold. Then after a couple of months I went out and when I...
Is it possible for the GCPM to not shut down after the 2 minutes and slowly draw down your batteries as you drive since the alternator cant charge as fast as the GCPM is drawing down?
When did the blue spring upgrade come out? I want to do it to my truck but I was thinking. Ford replaced 2 injectors a couple of years ago. Would they have automatically done the upgrade at the dealership when they fixed the injectors? Is there any way to check wothout taking it apart and...
Does anyone here have or have heard about the new coolant filter kit from Performance Machine & MFG? Looks pretty good and you dont have to splice anything cause they supply all the hoses pre connected. http://performancemachinemfg.com/
What about a bypass oil filter kit? Does anyone have a suggestion for which one is best? Will I be able to use a coolant filter and a bypass oil filter? I had heard someone say that they mount in the same area, but I thought I had seen an Amsoil bypass oil kit that was mounted under the truck
Found out that the long crank was due to a bad dummy plug in the rail. Had diagnostics run and found out oil cooler is shot. EGR cooler and oil cooler both need to be replaced.
Takin her in tomorrow because of the long crank time. I'll ask about having them run diagnostic. If they find a problem I'm assuming that the egr cooler would be under warranty to them to fix, but would I have to pay for them to flush and refill the system? That was like $300 last time I did it...
Could my current egr cooler be under preforming from the build up it has now? Or if I get the coolant filter it should be ok? Also, if I extend he warranty, will the dealer let me put the coolant filter on? Seems like it would be beneficial to them as well.
Talked to a dealer the other day and he said that for $1600 I can extend my full ESP warranty to 125000 mi. Think I'll do that and when thats up I'll change a few things. New egr cooler (or delete), coolant filter, oil cooler. Anything else should I consider?
Not sure about where the leak was. FICM was replaced when I had injectors replaced around 85000mi. I am looking at getting a coolant filter and was wondering about flushing the system. I had it done at the dealer about a year ago and it cost $300.
I've always taken to the dealer where I bought it for them to do the maintenance. They told me the warranty would be voided if I did any on my own. So I've taken in for every scheduled service and it has Motorcraft filters on it.
I have a 2007 F250 with the 6.0. I am about to run out my 100,000 mi warranty and wondering if I should be worried about stuff failing. Its always been stock and I have had all matainence doon religously. The only problems Ive had are 2 injectors had to be replaced around 85000 mi and I had a...
Lately my truck has started having a lot of bounce in the rear end. Im hoping that my shocks are just worn out. Ive still got my original shocks with 94000 miles on the truck. I carry a lot of weight much of the time too. Is there anything else it could be though?
What i mean is i may be looking for a highway tire if they get a lot better mileage. The Michelin says its an AT but it looks more like a highway tire to me.
I'm about to get a new set of tires for my '07 F250. I was looking at the Michelin AT2's because i need a tire that will last and these are supposed to. I wanted to know if anyone is running them on a F250 and how theyre holding up. I have it down to these or the brand new Cooper AT3 which i...
I had a guy tell me yesterday that when he had diesel trucks he used to put about a pint of automatic transmission fluid in each take of fuel to clean and lube the fuel system. Has anyone else ever heard of this?
