The vacuum advance for the distributor runs off a ported vacuum source from the carb. It does not pull any vacuum at idle but it will at speed and advance the distributor at higher rpm's
There is more involved in your swap than has been mentioned. Your swap is a little tougher because of your standard trans. Ford never offered a truck with a 460 and standard trans option untill after the mid 80's.Your flywheel and clutch is not going to work on the 460. You also need to know...
I would put the chrome R/T trim , a chrome grill shell and chrome trim around the windshield if it was mine and I had the chrome trim. It looks fine without it but I think it would be awesome with it all...
He has links to photobucket pics. He does show plenty of pics in those links.
The main thing that makes me think something is shady with him is his feedback never seems to grow yet he is always selling trucks on ebay. Is a lot of his auctions being ended early? I see a few recent things in his...
I have watched this seller for over a year now on ebay. He always has NOS 73-79 parts listed and this SC has been listed by him several times. Ive never seen it meet the reserve till now. He has his number listed in the ad for anyone needing parts for these trucks. Seems to be a good seller from...

On another forum I read a post about a guy using the seal from a newer model truck and it working much better. It goes on without any glue. I asked the question about what year models would work but got no response. Anybody know anything about this?
