D3TZ1440A .. Spare Tire Bracket Kit, mounts spare tire to front bumper / Offered for: 1973/77 F100/350's.

No it isn't. Bicycles [confused] went in the box or camper back then. :rotz:
While that's true, what does this have to do with this specific spare tire mounting bracket?

I knew the puppy was genuine Ford the second I viewed it.

These were quite popular on F350 Stupor Camper/Trailer Specials.

^^^^ That's pretty cool. I've seen tires mounted on the front of trucks in pics, but never realized that it was made original.

See Buck,, That's how you get Bill to chime in.

thanks ben....you're just itchin' to get me to make more road trips..:)

He's a great guy too...he's top dawg for the bottomland 4x4 crew. His primary rig is a white 96 350 CC with a naaaaasty 557 in it. I dunno what the max tire he can run is, but all I know is my head doesn't even come to the bottom of the door when he's on his v-treads. He competes in Trucks Gone Wild events, I typically follow him to his events within the state, and I've never seen him lose an unlimited class truck pull (he usually throws on 36" drag slicks at all 4 corners, and can do a 4 wheel burnout with them too).

Exactly!!!!

Instead of a push bar, maybe I could get one of those and put a big ol 35" tire on the front. Probably would rip my bumper off.

I always dug the look of the grille/bumper mounted spare.

Geez, who the hell are the people bidding on this. Look how much this is going for.....nothing special about it that's for sure. And I have aquired a few of them for free. But I have seen these are going for more money lately than ever.

They're bidding on it, cuz they want the 100 MPH speedo head that was not factory installed after 1977.

The seller is either unaware, or has left out...on purpose...the fact that this 100 MPH speedo head was also used in 1975/77 Econolines.

And the cluster itself with its oil/amp gauges was used in 1975/91 Econolines.

And, if y'all are unaware, 1975/77 Econolines use the same steering wheel as 1971/77 F100/350's (1975/77's with speed control), 1973/77 Bronco's.

Something ain't right.

For once, an ebay seller is correct (almost-applications are lacking). But...I can't say the same for a coupla of y'all. (sigh) :rotz:

Something IS right. The taillamp bezels were sold separately, but not all trucks had them. Standard equipment on XLT's & Lariats.

The cluck didn't list the part numbers, which are marked on the packages:

D3TZ-99279A66-A Right & D3TZ-99279A67-A Left.

Fits: 1973/79 F100/350 Styleside & 1978/79 Bronco.
