I agree. I went to the wreckers and got a factory bumper from an XLT Lariat. Staying original is the best, just be patient. Took me awhile but I was able to get all the factory upgrades. You would be amazed at the good condition of old parts still out there.
1978: There are FOUR possible front bumpers. TWO different types of front bumper guards.

Chrome plating ~ Genuine Ford vs Made in China crap: The Chinese repro parts have chrome plated onto bare steel, while Ford plated copper, then nickel than chrome onto bare steel.

Mil1ion, what are you asking for your set, and do these just connect with the existing bumper bolts? Do they include the rubber pads?
Does anyone know where I could an after market brush guard for my 79 f-250. It is a Lariat but I don't know the part number. Looking for one identical to the one on my truck in the picture
